CommentsI've been riding my bike past the raft forever - i am VERY HAPPY to finally know what the hell is going on over there. I saw the website banner so here i am....congratulations for maintaiing some taste and decency in the face of the encroaching Manhattan Mall. Susan sllafnasus@aol.com CommentsI saw the Floating Neutrinos on National Geographic Explorer. It looks and sounds like a great adventure. I wouldn't mind travelling around the world myself, never thought of using trash. I wish the best of luck to the crew and hope they make it all the way. Jeremy Michigan From: rhooker@totalq.com CommentsSaw the raft on National Geo last night, I was on my feet cheering when they made it to Ireland. Wow, what an adventure!
CommentsIt sounds like you have some good ideas about living on the water. You should head across the Erie canal sometime to lake erie.
CommentsHow in the world can a raft like that be at all seaworthy?
CommentsCongratulations on your wonderful adventure!!! Wish I could have been there~~~ Tahoe717@aol.com
CommentsI am very proud to be the first person to visit your web site. If I am correct, I am also the first person to assist you after you got underway from NYC. I sold you all my spare outboard gas on LI Sound off New Rochelle/ Hempstead, heard your plans to cross the "wide Atlantic, and wished you well. I will expound on my story via e-mail soon. ...Capt. Bill Raftery

CommentsThe Sun The sun shimmers by the onced moon shined bay It glimmers above us so high in the sky The sun, the one that bakes the road, so cold in the morning What courage the sun has to bathe our earth in the sunlight of heaven So let us bathe in that light Shawn Grauel
CommentsAre you docked by Battery Park City? I love looking at it, and that mannequin in the window is spooky, I always think its a Tom Waits kind of a character watching everybody. Its looks like something you'd expect to see in the backwaters of Louisiana. Way cool. Rock
CommentsAs a journalist working for the Paris-based leading photographic press agency (GAMMA), I would appreciate to contact your team to discuss and to organise a photo-shooting while you are in France. I thank you to reply by Email : a.valois@magic.fr or to call me : 04 76 18 13 55. With many thanks Alexie Valois
no question really, but wanted to tell you how i enjoyed
CommentsDear Awakened Musician, I am very sorry that you were so rudely disturbed; Poppa Neutrino and I, Capt. Betsy, are both in France at the moment with the Son of Town Hall raft. I assure you, had we been present in NYC, no such event ever would have occurred. We have immediately gotten in touch with our contacts at Pier 25 and expect that this type of thing will not recur. However, should there be another such incident, please do not hesitate to contact me directly via my e-mail address above, and if necessary we will take more drastic measures. Again, our sincere apologies for the disturbance. Capt. Betsy
CommentsI don't appreciate waking up at 2:00am to the sound of your poor practice session. Trying to play Bird heads and Tequilla on your trumpet are sad attempts that are not appreciated by real WORKING musicians, nor rent paying neighbors. How about showing some respect? You are squatters in an eye sore of floating debris. It's not about who owns the waterways, it's about how far people will push their fellow man. What goes around comes around.
CommentsWhether or not I agree with your situation is not the point in this posting. But as a fellow musician and neighbor who has to look at your eye sore daily I say this. "I DON'T APPRECIATE BEING AWAKENED AT 2:00AM BY YOUR TRUMPET! Give some respect to your neighbors; I would say fellow musicians, but playing Bird heads and Tequilla doesn't qualify as a musician here in NYC.
CommentsWOW! THANKS FOR THE CONFIRMATION .THIS IS THE REAFIRMATIOM I NEEDED . THANK YOU,THIS HELPS ME KNOW I'M ON THE RIGHT PATH LOTS GOOODENERGY TO YOU AND YOUR EVIROMENT. LOVE THE 5 L-M-T
CommentsAhoy mates -- The web site looks great and I love all the comments!! Thought I'd add one myself. Sorry for causing a little hullabaloo here with my "tasks". But I know you understand even if I am a pain in the arse :). Lots of luck with the orphanage. Looking forward to seeing the National Geographic piece. Ed said Sep. 12th? You better get that info here on your site! Love you, Donna B.

CommentsI am amazed at your accomplishment! Over the last 7 years I built a 25 foot boat out of 90% salvaged/scavanged materials (my biggest score ever... 17 sheets of douglas fir marine plywood discarded because of cosmetic water damage) so I appreciate what a cool thing you have done! A few years ago on a trip to New York I was down by South Street Seaport and saw a bunch of big nice southern pine planks just laying in the gutter near some road construction. In fact all Manhattan seemed a dumpster divers dream. I remember being just pissed that there was no way for me to grab stuff and bring it back to California with me on the plane! I'm glad somebody in New York was grabbing some of the morsels in America's waste stream. Even now with my boat done I still can't pass by a nice piece of wood on a street or along shore without my mind switching into scavange mode! tomkremer@ap.net
Commentsi have been admiring your boat for a long time now. i work in the wfc and pass it almost everday as i ride my bike down the west side esplanade. i always thought it reminded me of new orleans, that is where i moved here from, and now, since i saw your website i know the connection. what y'all have done is beautiful and amazing. you are all lucky to be part of such a gifted family. i must admit i've only heard good things about the flying neutrinos cd, i've not actually heard it, but now i definately want to check it out. i'm a photographer and have wanted to photograph your boat since i first saw it. i don't know if you would have a need for something like that, but i would volunteer my services if you did. i'm sure you get a lot of requests like that, but why not try! anyway, that's it... i love the flowers on board. if you want to respond i can be reached at allison.nowlin@wsj.com thanks for your time and keep on rockin! allison
CommentsPassed the Town Hall cycling to work this morning, saw the new banner with the web address, took a look.Very interesting.... I note that you're looking for scrap materials for a new raft. As it happens, I work for a waste exchange service in New York City. Can I help? Phil Vos, pvos@itac.org, 212-240-6920
CommentsI grew up watching the Flying Neutrinos perform in the streets of Provincetown and remember them building the first Town Hall. Ten years later, I stumbled across the Town Hall docked in Manhattan. I must have stared for almost an hour in disbelief. It was nice to be reminded of home. Hope you are all well.
CommentsIs this the boat that has been "docked" by Battery Park?
CommentsAhoy. I blade or cycle past the raft on the Hudson every day, but just noticed the web site address. Love the flowers on the raft, and the mannequin. Had no idea the rafts were so seaworthy. Truthfully, I thought you folks were squatters, but I liked the look of your raft. Nice to learn you folks are so adventurous. Can I come aboard some time? I'll bring a six-pack.

BUT ON AUGUST 12 AT 2.00 A.M. IN THE MORNING I AM BIKING NOWHERE :NO DIRECTION AT ALL .I FEEL VERY DEPRESS AND DOWN,I CANT SEE THE "LIGHT"AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL,MY FEELING ARE REALLY HITTING THE BOTTOM! I CANT EXPLEIN I FEEL THATH I AM STOCK : LIKE A BOAT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE OCEAN WITH NO DIRECTION. I LOVE THE WATER ,IS PEACEFUL AND RELAXING ,HELPS ME TO MEDITATE AND SOME HOW GIVE ME STRENGH. I DONT KNOW WHY THE DESTINY STOPS MY BIKE RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOUR BOAT ON PIER 25.JUST WHEN I AM FEELING A REALIZATION,I AM FEELING THATH I AM <<<<FLOATING>>>> GOING NOWHERE AND IT IS THE TIME TO MAKE A REALLY OR A STEP FORWARD OR I AM GOING TO CRACK FOREVER. I REALLY FEEL I GOT THE MESSAGE : IS LIKE SAME INCREDIBLE ENERGY CLEARED ALL THE DARKNESS ,IT WAS THE BIGINNING OF THE LIGHT.ALMOST LIKE THE END OF THE ECLIPSE !!!! Groeten . Jan Theunissen (Albatros@icns.nl)
CommentsHi, Wiel, Just testing this out to see how it works, You are doing a beautiful job, I am very happy with how it is going. I am working on my connections here to get some stuff scanned to send off to you, also writing as fast as I can, considering how many different places I've been in the past several weeks, and limited computer access. Hope you're having a good vacation, I'll write more via regular e-mail. Betsy
CommentsDear crewmembers, Wiel and Pauline, I think this web-site looks very good. Is the guestbook already working. Bye , Jan
