This foggy scene doesn't come close to doing justice to the incredibly beautiful landscape at the western end of Cuba. Unfortunately, we were not permitted to land here. The small dot at center is a tiny row boat with 2 people in it which followed us at a distance for some time. Were they trying to reach us, we wondered? |

The famous Malecon district of Havana, in crumbling condition. A sign of increasing tourism, there were several restoration projects underway in the area. Yet many decayed buildings were still obviously being lived in. |
